Fordham sits on the edge of the Fens between Ely and Newmarket, and its rooflines span everything from old flint cottages to modern executive housing on the village fringe.
The older core of Fordham around the church has properties with deep eaves and traditional timber fascias that need careful like-for-like replacement to keep the character of the building. The newer developments off Carter Street and Mildenhall Road are predominantly uPVC already, but cheaper original installations often start to yellow, crack or pull away from fixings within fifteen years. We replace these with higher-grade boards and stainless steel fixings that will outlast the originals considerably.
Fordham drains into the River Snail catchment and the village can sit damp in winter — blocked or poorly jointed guttering adds to that problem by sending water straight down external walls. We serve Fordham and the nearby villages of Isleham and Chippenham and can usually book a survey within the week. All our guttering work carries a ten-year guarantee.
