Ely Roofers installs new roofs across March — from the Victorian terraces near the town centre to newer builds on the outskirts — using materials chosen to stand up to the exposed Fenland weather.
March is a town built largely on slightly elevated ground above the surrounding Fens, and its housing stock reflects several eras of growth: late-Victorian and Edwardian terraces along the older streets, 1930s semi-detached houses spreading outward, and post-war estates further out. Many of these roofs are now reaching the end of their serviceable life, and a poorly specified replacement will struggle against the strong winds that funnel across flat Fenland fields with little to slow them.
